Walk All Over Me, A Movie Review And Then Some

Please excuse me if this is old hat to the rest of the world, Although this film was released to the cinemas at the end of 2007 and in most countries, on DVD in May of this year, the first I heard about it was when it turned up in my local video hire store last week (sometimes you get that in Belgium).

Walk All Over Me The Review

To start with it must be stated that this film is not about BDSM or kinksters, it is about a kidnapping and crime based story that involves BDSM practitioners. This idea is very good because, in a way, it is a way of presenting kinksters as real people, in an unreal movie sort of way.

The film - A slightly comedic crime thriller involving kink, latex and M/f BDSM. A small town girl, Alberta, The kind of girl who if she isn't looking for trouble, trouble is looking for her, ends up in Vancouver when an illegal money exchange goes wrong. She takes on her roommate Celene’s (her former baby sitter) identity as a dominatrix to get some cash. It all starts when she meets Paul, her first customer, who isn’t all that weird, but surprisingly young and innocent. In the midst of a fumbling attempt at role-play, they are interrupted by a trio of criminals who make it clear they aren’t leaving until Paul hands over the half million dollars that they think he stole from them. When it becomes apparent that Paul is not going to reveal the whereabouts of the cash, the trio targets Alberta, thrusting her and Celene into leading roles in this story of intrigue and double crossing. Only Celene’s ass kicking skills and Alberta’s blind panic allows them to overpower the team of criminals. When Celene is caught and held captive by the trio, Alberta has to find a way to sort the situation out herself with the aid of one of Celene's submissives, Spencer.

DIRECTOR - Robert Cuffley
CAST - Leelee Sobieski, Tricia Helfer, Lothaire Bluteau, Jacob Tierney, Michael Adamthwaite, Michael Eklund, Ross McMillan.

Conclusion - Not a brilliant film, I put it in the "It was good to hire but I'm glad I did not buy it" category. A nice way to pass a rainy Sunday afternoon, if you are all spanked out. What I really liked about this film was that it was not about BDSM and kink but a film with an alternative story that involved kinksters. This film gave the impression that it was made on a bit of tight budget and was a little ropy in places (scuse the pun) but it could show the way for involving kinksters in movies in the future. There is no reason that movies with kinksters as main characters have to focus exclusively on the kink, we are just as involved in all aspects of life as everyone else.

And Then Some

This movie did get the old grey matter churning and The following two ideas evolved from the goo.

A high budget Hollywood sequel - Since surviving the first film with a few bucks in their pockets, Alberta and Celene become a Domme duo and build up a stable clientele of submissives from various walks of life, with a wide variety skills and contacts. Seeing an opportunity to utilize their mini army of subs they execute a complicated heist on a major Las Vegas casino, under cover of a large annual spanking party. It could be called "The Shadow Lane Stunt"

Spencer the series - At the start of the film I did not like the character of Spencer but as the film progresses he emerged as a talented and annoying uber brat, with a twisted view on life. Could anyone ask for a better character to base a sit com on?
